Nitish Kumar’s Oath, Security Alerts & Breaking Headlines

For those joining us now and who missed the coverage, Nitish Kumar was sworn in today as Bihar Chief Minister for a record 10th term at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

The event underlines his enduring political influence and cements his reputation as a central power broker in Bihar’s governance.

In a carefully crafted Cabinet reshuffle, NDA partners have struck a strategic balance. The new ministry includes key names from both BJP and JD(U), with Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha retained as Deputy Chief Ministers. The induction reflects a mix of seasoned leaders and fresh faces:

From BJP: Choudhary, Sinha, Dilip Jaiswal, Mangal Pandey, Ram Kripal Yadav, Nitin Nabin, and others.

From JD(U): Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Ashok Choudhary, Leshi Singh, Madan Sahni, Sunil Kumar, among others.

Beyond the major parties, representatives from smaller NDA allies—such as HAM (Hindustani Awam Morcha) and RLM (Rashtriya Lok Morcha)—have also been allocated ministerial berths.

The new Cabinet lineup follows intense portfolio talks, balancing caste and regional interests to keep Bihar’s political equation in check.
