The former AEW World Trios Champions will be returning soon, according to Dave Meltzer, who confirmed the news on a recent episode of “Wrestling Observer Radio.” The AEW star in question is PAC, who has been sidelined since July due to an undisclosed injury.
Also earlier this week, his Death Triangle partner Penta El Zero Miedo said during a virtual signing with Hyspots that PAC would be returning to the promotion soon. On an episode of AEW Rampage in August, Tony Schiavone announced that PAC would be on hiatus for some time.
PAC’s last match was a victory over Gravity on the July 26, 2023 episode of “AEW Dynamite.” A few days earlier, he unsuccessfully attempted to capture the ROH World Title from then-champion Claudio Castagnoli. It’s worth mentioning that PAC returned to AEW in July from a nose injury suffered in January – during the Best of Seven Series for the AEW World Trios Championship. Ta. His comeback match from injury was on the July 19th episode of Dynamite, in which he teamed up with Konosuke Takeshita of the Blackpool Combat Club and faced Golden Elite in a Blood and Guts match.
PAC has been participating in this promotion since January 2019. In addition to being the AEW World Trios Champion with Miedo and Rey Fenix from September 2022 to January 2023, PAC was also the inaugural AEW International Champion, then known as the AEW All-Atlantic Title. He held the title for over 100 days before losing it to Orange Cassidy in October 2022. Cassidy is once again the AEW International Champion and has held the title since defeating Phoenix in October of this year.
