Owned by visionary fashion designer and artist Naurin Sultana Aduri, Duri Lifestyle stands out as a shining example of exclusive design and contemporary fabrics. The word “Duri” roughly means “shining star” and that’s exactly what you’ll feel when you wear these dresses.
Driven by her love for fashion, Aduly began her career by studying fashion design. Delving deep into her technical side wasn’t easy, but submitting her work gave Aduly the perfect motivation to know she was on the right path. I was in the middle of it.
“I submitted the dress after the surface treatment, and the feedback I received was beyond my expectations,” she explains. “The dress sold almost immediately at an exhibition there.”
Since then, Aduly hasn’t looked back.
Duri’s goal is simple: to establish itself as the brand that makes your dress dreams come true without spending a lot of money. The dresses in the store, both fusion and traditional, range from the affordable price range of Tk 4,000, which is quite expensive considering that he only gets one piece for each dress.
Each series of Dhuri dresses and sarees offers unparalleled uniqueness with a thematic approach. “To the Eternal Winged Chloris” is one of the series inspired by the Greek goddess Chloris. As she was associated with spring flowers, nature and new growth, each saree in this series is a stunning work of art embellished with a touch of nature in its purest form.
Perhaps what sets Duri apart from most other brands in the country is the free bridal consultation it offers. Brides are often looking for a dress that suits them, and Duri helps brides add a piece of their heart and most cherished inspiration to their special dress. We encourage you to dress to reflect your personality.
Aduly emphasizes that bridal wear should reflect the bride’s personality. What matters is not that you are wearing a sari or dress, but that you are yourself in it. Therefore, brides are involved in every step of the way, starting from the color and design to the handcrafted magical details that make the dress exactly what they dreamed of.
Naurin Sultana Aduri respects the skills of local artisans and remains committed to collaborating with them. She said, smiling as she recalled the initial skepticism of her artisans. “They have often wondered why I insist on local craftsmanship when faster alternatives are available from other countries. Our local artistry is my only preference. It took months for them to accept the idea.”I had no intention of looking elsewhere for design. ”
With an eye for detail and a goal to preserve the unique essence of each dress, Duri maintains a non-mass production approach. Seeing 2024 as a year of endless possibilities, Adury not only wants to expand his line of Fusion dresses, but also perhaps step into the realm of menswear.
“I don’t want people to shy away from designer wear anymore,” Adury concluded. “With Duri, exclusive items are available at affordable prices!”
