I passed by a psychic’s storefront studio. On the window it was written that this person has been reading palms and predicting the future since his 1989. It was a large space in a vibrant corner of New York City. The rent must be astronomical. If not, the supplier owns the building.
Given that this retail space is very popular and the storefront is almost always empty, is this the best use of the space? Wouldn’t it be better to lend it to someone?
The metaphor for how we spend our time is obvious.
In the next few minutes, days or even months, you will certainly own them and be able to use them for any purpose you choose. But just because you’ve been spending your time a certain way for a long time doesn’t mean you need to keep doing it.
