The Fremont Police Department said on social media that Fremont officials are reminding the public that the areas north of South Grimmer Boulevard, east of Grimmer Boulevard, south of Auto Mall Parkway, west of Fremont Boulevard It was announced that the area was advised to evacuate until 1 p.m.
Hazardous materials leak at Arctic Glacier, a business located at 43960 Fremont Blvd., Fremont Fire Department spokeswoman Aisha Knowles told SFGATE. An incident occurred and crews are investigating. Authorities were alerted to the dangerous leak around 11:45 a.m., the Mercury News reported. The specific substance that leaked is unknown.

Knowles said the building was evacuated after a report of hazardous materials, but no one was injured.
The area is near Pacific Commons Shopping Center, one of the city’s largest shopping hubs, just off South Grimmer Boulevard and Auto Mall Parkway.
Hazardous materials crews are currently on scene, according to live aerial footage from NBC Bay Area. Knowles said at 12:45 p.m. officials hope to resolve the issue within the next hour.
City officials have not released further information regarding this dangerous incident.
